RESEARCH / DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Position Overview:

This is a full-time, entry-level scientist / engineer position to conduct experimental work together with Research Scientists & Engineers in developing all aspects of our technology. Key areas of focus may include the chemical and electrochemical preparation and characterization of novel materials, along with the physical, spectroscopic, and electrochemical characterization of materials and reactions.  The candidate will be expected to plan experiments, set up and de-bug instruments, collect and analyze data and report results to their team and management.  Multiple positions are available.

The company focuses on the development of transformational renewable energy capture and storage technologies that will enable renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, to power our society anywhere, anytime, and at low cost. We are a dynamic young company located in Cambridge, MA close to public transportation.

Qualifications:

We are seeking self-motivated individuals with a strong interest in renewable energy technologies and/or chemical, electrochemical, and materials science research. Individuals must be flexible, able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, and able to work independently and as part of a group. A bachelor’s degree in a chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or materials science with two years of relevant lab experience is required. The successful candidate will have excellent fundamental skills in inorganic chemistry, materials science, electrochemistry, and/or mechanical systems.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation package includes salary commensurate with experience, company equity, and benefits including medical and dental insurance and 401(K).
